Kelleher Selected to Play in 75th USILA/Nike North vs. South Division III All-Star Game
Junior men's lacrosse player Sean Kelleher received All-NCAC honors at the end of 2016 after a stellar campaign.

PERRY, New York- Wittenberg men's lacrosse player Sean Kelleher (Lake Forest, Illinois/Lake Forest) has been selected to partake in the 75th USILA/Nike North versus South Collegiate All-Star Game. The All Star game will be played at Edith Robb Dixon Field on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, PA on Friday, May 27, 2016. The Division III game is set to kick off at 5:30 PM.
Kelleher put together an impressive 2016 campaign that included 17 goals, 11 assists, and 14 ground balls. Upon the conclusion of the 2016 season, the senior was named honorable mention All-North Coast Athletic Conference, after receiving the same honor as a sophomore in 2015.
The first North-South College all-star game was played in 1940 at Municipal Stadium in Baltimore, MD. The North squad coached by Princeton's Bill Logan won that inaugural event with a 6-5 victory over the South team coached by Maryland's Jack Faber.
Sixty-six total games have been played with interruptions occurring only in with the exception of 1944 and 1945 the North/South games have been played each year without interruption.
In 1991, the USILA split the event and created two games. The Division I-II game and the Division III game. This two game format was interrupted in 2006 when a special committee of the USILA recommended returning to one game but combining all divisions. The following year, 2007, saw the return to two separate games.
