Tigers Named To NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Teams
Throughout the 2013-14 school year, the North Coast Athletic Conference will celebrate its 30th anniversary with the release of All-Decade Teams for its championship sports.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the North Coast Athletic Conference is planning a variety of promotional activities and events throughout the 2013-14 school year. Click here to read the NCAC 30th Anniversary launch news release
Voting for the teams was conducted during the summer months and included current coaches and administrators, as well as those coaches and administrators who served significant years in the conference during the previous decade. Each sports' all-decade team will be released prior to the beginning of each playing season in conjunction with that sports' preseason coaches' poll and sport guide.
Football
Wittenberg placed a league-high 12 former student-athletes on the NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team: quarterback Ben Zoeller (2008-11); running back Tristan Murray (2004-06); wide receivers Josh McKee (2008-11 - pictured) and Jered Glover (2002-05); center Dillon Hollin (2006-09); offensive tackles Brad Kassner (2001-04) and Ted Londot (2003-06); kicker Mark Porter (2004-07); linebackers Zach Hurtt (2008-11) and Brad McKinley (2007-10); defensive end Eddie Vallery (2008-11) and safety Seth Parker (2008-11). Thirty-four players were honored in all.

Field Hockey
Wittenberg placed a league-high five former student-athletes on the NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team: forwards Tori Casanta (2007-10) and Boo Vernon (2007-10); midfielder Blair Ufer (2001-04); and defenders Rachel Dunn (2003-06) and Meredith Price (2007-10 - pictured). Eighteen players were honored in all.

Volleyball
Wittenberg placed a league-high five former student-athletes on the NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team: setter Sarah Yuskewich (2001-04); libero Christina Gilene (2009-12); middle hitter Katie Sumner (2008-11 - pictured); outside hitter Emily Bell (2004-07) and right-side hitter Jackie Williams (2005-08). Eleven players were honored in all.

Men's Soccer
Wittenberg was represented on the NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team by the versatile Matt Borland, who played almost every position except goalkeeper between 2005 and 2008 for the Tigers (pictured). Seventeen players were honored in all.

Men's and Women's Cross Country
Wittenberg was represented on the NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team by Mary Pfeifer, who excelled on the course for the Tigers between 2008 and 2011 (pictured). Ten men and 10 women were honored in all.
Men's Basketball
Wittenberg was represented on the NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team by Dane Borchers (pictured) and Daniel Russ, two men who took the Tigers to their greatest heights in the last 20 years. Borchers and Russ were the cornerstones of a tremendous 2005-06 Wittenberg team that advanced all the way to the national championship game. In addition, former Ohio Wesleyan standout Travis Schwab, now Wittenberg's associate head coach, was selected to the team after previously earning a spot on the 20th Anniversary All-Decade Team. Eleven former players were honored in all.

Wittenberg was represented on the NCAC 30th Anniversary All-Decade Team by Stephanie Boardman (pictured), the conference Player of the Year in 2010 after leading the Tigers to their most recent league title. Ten former players were honored in all.
