Bio
Ali Teopas joined Wittenberg University in August 2009 as Assistant Athletic Director for the Tiger GAME Plan and she took over external affairs for the department in 2012. In her administrative role, Teopas has helmed the creation of Wittenberg's Tiger GAME Plan, a unique recruiting and student assistance program, one of the first of its kind in NCAA Division III.
Teopas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Management and Communication from Denison University in 2008 after a fine career as a student-athlete with the Big Red's softball team, where she earned four letters and holds several records. She served as president of Denison's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), as well as the North Coast Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during her collegiate career.
She now serves as co-adviser of Wittenberg's SAAC, in addition to her leadership with the Tiger GAME Plan and coordinating community service activities for the student-athletes. Wittenberg's Department of Athletics was recognized nationally with a Jostens/National Association of Collegiate D-III Athletic Administrators community service award in January 2012.
She also serves as an assistant coach for the Tiger softball team, primarily working with the team's outfielders.
A native of Sylvania, Ohio, Teopas now resides in Springfield, Ohio. She earned a Master's of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton in 2011, and she is also a 2010 graduate of the NCAA/NACWAA Institute for Administrative Advancement.
In 2013, Teopas became a member of the NACWAA (National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators) Membership Committee. In addition, she has been a facilitator for the 2010 and 2011 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forums.
