2013-14 Cheerleading Tryouts Announced
Tryouts for the 2013-14 football and basketball cheerleading squads will take place on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20.

Tryouts for 2013-2014 Football & Basketball Seasons
There
will be NO tryouts in the
Fall!
Interested participants must attend
tryouts on Friday, April 19th from 6 to 8
p.m. and Saturday, April 20thfrom 10 a.m. to 12
p.m. Tryouts will be held in the old gym
of the HPER Center.
The tentative tryout schedule includes:

Requirements
- You must be accepted to/enrolled at
Wittenberg University or be a staff
member.
- Attire: Show your spirit in RED and WHITE!!
- Girls: White tank or t-shirt with red shorts, clean white shoes, white low socks.
- Boys: White t-shirt, red athletic shorts, clean white shoes, white low socks.
- Chants:Learn and perform two chants.
- Cheer: Learn and perform one cheer.
- Jumps: toe touch, right or left herkie, right or left front hurdler
- Tumbling: Not a requirement but a plus.
- Stunting: Not a requirement to have previous experience, but must show potential. IF YOU HAVE MEDICAL ISSUES THAT MAY HINDER YOUR STUNTING, PLEASE LET US KNOW.

improvement shown in areas that needed improvement such as sharper
motions, stronger jumps, et

Additional Information
- You will be trying out in groups of four for the purpose of stunting. You will be required to tryout for a certain position (base, back, flyer).
- We do not have a specific number of participants that will make the squad. We can have as many or as few as we choose.
- If you are selected as a member of the 2013-2014 Cheerleading squad, you will be asked to stay a little later on Saturday to go over some important information regarding the upcoming season.
- Attending camp in the summer isMANDATORY for all cheerleaders.
- Practice times are TBA and will begin the first week of school.
