    Gabe Savage (Lewisburg, Ohio/Tri-County North) continued his strong 2007 season on Saturday at the Otterbein Fall Invitational. Leading the Tiger men to a 10th-place finish in a 16-team field, he placed 29th overall. Alissa Goble (Sunfield, Mich./Lakewood) led the Tiger women for the first time this season, finishing 44th overall, on the way to a 10th-place team finish against the same 16-team competition.
  • Tiger Teams Compete Well In Tough Cedarville Invitational

    Megan Poling (Medina, Ohio/Highland)provided the highlight of the day Saturday at the Cedarville Cross Country Invitational. Her finish at 50th among a field of 177 runners placed her as top finisher for the Tigers, and helped lead them to a strong eighth place finish in a competitive 18 team field.

    The Wittenberg Tiger men's and women's cross country teams survived the heat and humidity on Saturday to take home first and second place finishes respectively. Junior runner Katie McIlvain (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) led the Red & White women, finishing in sixth place, while the men were paced by junior Gabe Savage (Lewisburg, Ohio/Tri-County North), who finished fourth.

    The Wittenberg University men's and women's cross country teams continue the 2007 season with the annual Wittenberg Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Springfield Masonic Home. Six schools - Capital, Cedarville, Central State, Muskingum, Wilmington and Rio Grande - are scheduled to join the host Tigers in the competition, which starts with the men's eight-kilometer race at 10:15 a.m. and concludes with the women's five-kilometer race at 11:15 a.m.
