After 15 years at the helm of Wittenberg women’s volleyball, Paco Labrador was named the head women’s volleyball coach at the United States Naval Academy on May 16.
Tim Kremchek, ‘81 (and his wife, Hilary, ‘82) have issued a challenge to the Wittenberg Athletic Department. If we can get 220 donors and raise alumni participation by 1%, by April 25, they will give a gift of $25,000 to the athletic department.
The Tigers will travel to Cedarville University, in nearby Cedarville, Ohio this coming Saturday, April 14th where Wittenberg will take-on; Cedarville University, Taylor University, Wright State University, and Muskingum University.

The Tigers swept the Knights on their home floor, as seven of the last eight national title games have included either Calvin or Wittenberg.
Karen Wildemann, a Junior at Wittenberg University, is the recipient of the Elite 90 award for the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship.
The Tigers trip to the national semifinal is the sixth time that Wittenberg has made the Final Four, and the third time in the last six seasons.
Wittenberg junior setter Karen Wildemann earned AVCA First-Team All-America honors after putting together an impressive junior campaign. Wildemann was most recently named the Most Valuable Player of the Great Lakes Regional last weekend after the Tigers ran through match-play to earn a spot in the Elite 8 on November 16.
The Tiger's victory is their eighth regional championship in Wittenberg women's volleyball history, as the team most recently won the region in 2015.

#3 Wittenberg women’s volleyball opened NCAA Regional play against Penn State Behrend on Friday afternoon, as the Tigers disposed of the Lions in decisive fashion 3-0.
Maddie Fischer (First Team), Karen Wildemann (First Team) and Aubrey Cox (Honorable Mention) all earned Great Lakes All-Region recognition, helping lead the Tigers to a 22-2 record thus far in 2017.
#4 Wittenberg women’s volleyball is coming off their 11th straight NCAC title, as the Tigers will have a quick trip up interstate 70 to compete in their NCAA Regional.
The Tigers title is their 23rd NCAC volleyball tournament title, the most in the league, as Paco Labrador’s team has booked their ticket to the Division III NCAA Volleyball Tournament.

#1 The Wittenberg Tiger’s women’s volleyball team took their firs stumble of the year, as the team fell to Carthage and Wisconsin Eau-Claire on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers defeated Elmhurst, a program that is usually in the AVCA Top-25, the night before for the team’s 20th consecutive win.
