Five Named Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Academic All-District

SPRINGFIELD, OH - Wittenberg had five student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field Academic All-District team for the 2024-25 season, the CSC announced on Tuesday. Named to the team were senior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH / Alliance), juniors Ziciah Gibson (Cambridge, OH /Cambridge) and Abbey Danne (Johnstown, OH / Big Walnut), and sophomores Story Laing (Granville, OH / Granville) and Maddi Clark (Mentor, OH / Mentor).
Frazier is a biology major with a 3.841 GPA. Gibson is an education major sporting a 3.948 GPA. Danne is a biology and Spanish double major, who carries a 3.932 GPA. Laing is a biology major with a 3.950 GPA and Clark is a management and sports management double major with a 3.791 GPA.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 while ranking inside the top 50 in a single event in their respective region. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Frazier is the lone Tiger to move on to the Academic All-America ballot.
