Tennis Teams Fall to Kenyon on the Road
GAMBIER, OH. – Wittenberg's men's and women's tennis teams hit the road on Friday, April 11, for some North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) action. Both teams suffered a loss to the Owls at the Jasper Tennis Center.
On the men's side, Wittenberg fell 7-0 to Kenyon, ranked No. 7. Kenyon secured the doubles' point with wins in scores of 6-1, 6-0, and 6-0. With the loss, the Tigers drop to 1-13 overall and 0-2 in the NCAC. The Owls improve to 14-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
The Tigers also fell 7-0 on the women's side to the Owls, ranked No. 26. Kenyon secured the doubles point by winning all three matches in scores of 6-0, 6-1, and 6-0. With the loss, Witt falls to 0-12 overall and 0-3 NCAC. Kenyon, the reigning NCAC champs, improves to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in the conference.

- Court 5: Benjamin Glassman (Woodbridge, CT / Amity Regional) lost 6-0, 6-0
- Court 6: Daniel Patel (Pittsburgh, PA / Shaler Area) lost 6-0, 6-0
Women's Singles vs. Kenyon:
- Court 1: Caroline Sproule (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy Orange) lost 6-0, 6-0
- Court 2: Sidney Purks (Oakwood, OH / Oakwood) lost 6-0, 6-0
- Court 3: Marin Summers (Columbus, OH / Hilliard Davison) lost 6-0, 6-1
- Court 4: Celeste Hartings (Tipp City, OH / Tippecanoe) lost 6-0, 6-0
- Court 5: Elisabeth Josellis (Warsaw, IN / Warsaw Community) lost 6-0, 6-0
- Court 6: Grace Ralston (Georgetown, OH / Georgetown) lost 6-1, 6-0
Next up, both teams will travel to Denison on Saturday, April 12. Matches are at 10 a.m. for the men's team and 1 p.m. for the women.
