SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – Playing a tri-match at Hathaway Brown School, the Wittenberg women's tennis team dropped decisions to John Carroll and Capital on Saturday.
The Tigers were swept 9-0 against the Blue Streaks of John Carroll even as senior Meghan Depew (Downingtown, Pa./West) fought at No. 2 singles to a 6-4, 6-1 defeat.
Against Capital, the Tigers found more success, falling 7-2 as freshman Rayika Karachiwalla (Pune, India/International Baccalaureate (NY)) won in the first singles flight 6-0, 6-2 and teamed with Depew to win 8-5 in first doubles.
The Tigers return to Springfield for Senior Recognition Day against Indiana-East on Monday, April 20, at 4:30 p.m.
