SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on the 2013-14 regular season with a 7-2 loss to North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rival Wooster on Senior Recognition Day.
The Tigers fell to 6-9 on the season, heading into a week of practice before the annual NCAC Tournament. Wooster improved to 6-11.
Before the match, Wittenberg honored its lone senior on the roster, Andrea Gaietto (Tiffin, Ohio/Calvert). She then went out and scored both of the Tigers' points in the match.
Gaietto teamed with sophomore Morgan McDermott (Wheeling, W.Va./The Linsley School) to pick up an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles. She then added a three-set singles win at the No. 4 position.
