GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Wittenberg's Spring Break week came to an end with a 9-0 loss at DePauw, the 10th-ranked team in the nation and one of the favorites to win the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship in 2014.
Wittenberg fell to 5-3 overall, while DePauw improved to 8-2. It was the first NCAC West Division match for either team.
DePauw, which hosted the match in its Indoor Tennis and Track Center, dropped just one game in the three doubles matches to set the tone for the overall match. The host Tigers then completed the sweep in the singles competition.
Wittenberg returns to action with a pair of home matches on March 19 against Ohio Northern and March 23 against Adrian.
