Tigers Open Spring Season With Losses To Valparaiso and IPFW
The Wittenberg women's tennis team kicked off the second half of the 2011-12 season with a pair of losses to NCAA Division I scholarship programs, Valparaiso and IPFW.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Wittenberg women's tennis team kicked off the second half of the 2011-12 season with a pair of losses to NCAA Division I scholarship programs, Valparaiso and IPFW.
The Tigers lost to Valparaiso 6-1 on Friday evening before losing to IPFW 7-0 on Saturday. The losses dropped Wittenberg to 1-3.
Wittenberg's lone winner on the weekend was sophomore Leah Ann Miller (Springfield, Ohio/Catholic Central) against Valparaiso. She won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
The Tigers will return to action against another scholarship program on Saturday, Feb. 18, when Wittenberg visits Northwestern Ohio for a 1 p.m. first serve.
