The Tigers started with comfortable victories on the first two doubles courts before picking up a default win at No. 3. Wittenberg then added straight-set wins in the first five singles matches before picking up another default victory.
Junior Anne Beauch (North Canton, Ohio/Massillon Jackson) led the way with wins at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles. FreshmanJessica Coggins (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 4 singles and was credited with the default win at No. 3 doubles. Freshman Sarah Ziska (Bay Village, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) was also credited with a pair of wins — by default in doubles and by a 6-0, 6-0 margin at No. 5 singles — and freshmanEmma Bilyeu (Terre Haute, Ind./Vigo) was a winner at No. 2 doubles before picking up a default at No. 6 singles.
