Wittenberg Swimming & Diving Battles Heidelberg and Wooster
TIFFIN/WOOSTER, OH - Wittenberg Women's and Men's Swmming and Diving competed against Heidelberg and Wooster on January 30-31. The Tiger men fell to Heidelberg, 76-51, while the Tiger women concluded their meet with a 106-74 loss. Despite the loss, the Tigers delivered several strong performances. Five women claimed first-place finishes across multiple events, and the men added two first-place finishes of their own.
First-Place Finishes vs. Heidelberg:
- 100 Fly: Teagan O'Connor (Fort Wayne, IN / Carroll) - 1:01.18
- 50 Backstroke: Lilly Cook (Rensselaer, IN / Rensselaer Central) - 30.09
- 50 Breaststoke: Shania Stone (Cincinnati, OH / Princeton) - 33.16
- 100 Breaststroke: Annie Gammon (Cincinnati, OH / Cincinnati Country Day) - 1:16.44
- 400 Individual Medley: Jade Paumi (Lexington, KY / Lafayette) - 5:19.18
- 500 Freestyle: Mason Steen (Leroy, OH / Riverside) - 5:30.56 & 50 Breast - 30.24
- 100 Breaststroke: Tre Wynn (Columbus, OH / New Albany) - 1:13.72
Against Wooster, both Wittenberg teams faced tough competition, with the men's falling by a final score of 231-33 and the women's team also coming up short, finishing the meet with a score of 191-71. However, the meet featured a few first place finishes that helped highlight positive moments.

- 50 Yard Breaststroke: Shania Stone - 31.71
