Tiger Sweep Double Dual Meet at Bluffton
LIMA, OH - After splitting their season-opening double dual meet, Wittenberg Women's Swimming and Diving came back with avengeance, defeating the host Bluffton Beavers and the Anderson Ravens to improve to 3-1 in dual competitions in the 2025-26 season. The Tigers showed the Beavers who's boss, winning with a score of 157-25, and defeated the Ravens, 144-72. In the entirety of the meet, the Tigers logged 12 first-place finishes in the 13 events.
The first top finish of the day for the Tigers was the 200-yard medley relay team of Lilly Cook (Rensselaer, IN / Rensselaer Central), Sophie Paskiet (Toledo, OH / St. Ursula), Teagan O'Connor (Fort Wayne, IN / Carroll), and Shania Stone (Cincinnati, OH / Princeton) that finished in a time of 1:54.21. Elisabeth Josellis (Warsaw, IN / Warsaw Community) added to the top finishers with a time of 12:40.74 in the 1000-yard freestyle. Then, McKenna Clark (Waynesville, OH / Carroll) added the third first of the day in 2:05.41 for the 200-yard freestyle.
Paskiet added another first-place finish to her day, taking the 200-yard individual medley in 2:17.91. Payton Oleksinski (Ypsilanti, MI / Ann Arbor Skyline) scored a 189.70 in the one-meter diving event to add another. O'Connor added to her count as well, finishing the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.46. Clark added a first-place finish once again, finsihing the 100-yard freestyle in 57.45. Stone piled on as well in the 100-yard backstroke, posting a time of 1:04.36. Annie Gammon (Cincinnati, OH / Cincinnati Country Day) logged her first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:53.52. Oleksinski won the other one-meter diving competition where each competitor got five dives with a score of 155.20. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Paskiet posted another top finish with a time of 1:08.19.
To top it all off, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Clark, Stone, Bekah Lebold (Mount Vernon, OH / Mount Vernon), and Allison Browning (Hillsboro, OH / Hillsboro) closed out the meet with another number one spot, finishing in 1:46.14.
