Katie Black Concludes NCAA Diving Regional with Impressive Finishes
Black finished 12th in the 3 meter diving competition on Friday and 17th in the 1 meter competition on Saturday.
GRANVILLE, Ohio-- Kaitlyn Black (Fort Wayne, Indiana/Homestead) represented Wittenberg with back-to-back stellar performances at the NCAA Division III Diving Regional this past weekend. The sophomore qualifed for the regional after putting together a spectacular week at the NCAC Championships February 11-13.
This past weekend, Black took home a 12th place finish out of 24 entries, compiling 397.60 total points in the 3-meter diving championship. Black was not done there, following up her 12th place finish with a 17th place finish in the 1-meter diving championship Saturday, compiling 374.20 total points.
Black's Regional concludes the Swimming and Diving seasons for Wittenberg, as both teams concluded their seasons at the NCAC Championships with 6th place finishes in 2015-16.
Black's regional performance is her second in as many years for the Tigers. The sophomore has compiled an impressive track-record thus far as a Tiger, displayed below.
