Women's Swimming and Diving Sends off Seniors in Style
Women's swimming and diving took down Center College on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.
Springfield, Ohio – Wittenberg women's swimming and diving took down the Centre College Colonels Saturday afternoon by a final margin of 155-62. Amidst celebrating the big win the Tigers said, "Thank You" and "Goodbye" to seven seniors who have put in countless hours of hard work and dedication to the program over the past four years. The Tigers honored Madeline Kraft (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth), Maggie Kramer (Glenview, Ilinois / Glenbrook South), Dani Lacy (Louisville, Kentucky /Louisville Collegiate School), Erica Precht (Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon), Erin Swardenski (Fremont, California/Washington), Lindsey Swihart (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview), and Margaret White (Westfield, Indiana/Westfield) during the 3m diving intermission with a announcements of each individuals plans for the future, while their memories in the red and white scrolled on a slideshow in the background.
WOMEN'S TOP FINISHES
- Wittenberg finished the day taking the top spot in 8 of the 10 women's events.
- Swardenski secured her first win of the day with the 200-yard medley relay, with fellow senior Madeline Kraft.
- The 200-yard freestyle saw another top finish by the Tigers as senior Erica Precht took the top spot.
- Lacy found two top finishes on the afternoon, for her 100-yard freestyle and her participation in the 200-yard freestyle relay, where Swardenski earned her third win of the day.
FROM THE POOL DECK
- "This meet was a great way to end our home meets for the season and celebrate our seniors! You can see from the results what an impact the seniors are in the pool, but contributions go far beyond their athletic performance" said Head Coach Koukis.
