Sarah Deaton Named to All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, MO - Wittenberg Women's Soccer standout Sarah Deaton (Monroe, OH / Monroe) earned All-Region 7 honors from the the United Soccer Coaches (USCAA), as she was named to the third team.
For each of the 10 regions across NCAA Division III, there are either three or four teams consisting of 13 players on each team. The all-region award for Deaton was the first of her collegiate career and followed up last year's all-region players, Chamberlain Browning and Brooke Mullis, that were third and fourth team. With the honor, Deaton becomes the 33rd Wittenberg Women's Soccer student-athlete to earn all-region recognition.
Deaton, a sophomore forward, previously earned postseason honors from the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), as she was named to the first-team this past season. In the regular season, Deaton played and started all 16 matches over the course of the season. She recorded nine goals, including two game-winners, and dished out two assists to end the season with 20 points while tallying 48 shots, 31 of which came on goal. Her nine goals and 20 points led the conference in both categories.
The Tigers finished 6-3-7 in the 2025 regular season, including a mark of 2-2-3 in the NCAC to finish sixth in the conference.
