Tigers Still Rolling With Win At Earlham
RICHMOND, Ind. — The Wittenberg Tiger women's soccer team handily defeated the Earlham College Quakers in the first half of a split-campus doubleheader on Tuesday, continuing their march toward the postseason with an unbeaten mark in conference play.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Earlham Quakers could not stop the Tiger women on Tuesday as the Red & White scored three unanswered goals on their way to guaranteeing a winning record in conference with just three games left in the season.
Freshman Brittany Mantell (Hilliard, Ohio/Darby) put the final nail in the coffin against the Quakers, who allowed Wittenberg 20 shots against their own six. Mantell scored in the 74th minute with help from Corey Shubitowski (Columbus, Ohio/Watterson) for her first collegiate goal.
Suzanne Medwid (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) started the scoring right off the bat, scoring within seven minutes of the start of the game, scoring off anAmanda Farrell (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) assist. Emily Murray (Petoskey, Mich./Petoskey) added some padding just before the end of the first period with an unassisted goal.
Meghan O'Rourke (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington) was forced into just three saves behind the always stellar play of the Wittenberg defense. She was relieved of her goalie duties by Jordan Bamberger (Solon, Ohio/Solon) with 6:44 to go, after securing the NCAC career shutout record on Saturday.
The Tigers play a morning game on Saturday to kick off homecoming athletics festivities. They take on Allegheny, and are followed by the Tiger men's soccer team taking on Allegheny, with the football team capping the day against Ohio Wesleyan.
