Women's Lacrosse Triumphs with Ease Over Spalding
SPRINGFIELD, OH – As conference play approaches, Wittenberg put together a commanding victory over Spalding to set the tone as eight different Tigers scored in the game, with two players above three goals.
The Tigers boosted their record to 4-4 with the victory, while Spalding's record dropped to 1-9. Wittenberg's next matchup will be the final game before conference play kicks off, as the Tigers host Ohio Northern at home on April 2.
Hannah Peterson (Cedarville, OH / Cedarville), Aubrey Stager (Saline, MI / Saline), Sophia Meek (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy Orange), Essence Wyse (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy), Jarya Hassell (Bellbrook, OH / Bellbrook), Alyssa Burnside (Galloway, OH / Hilliard Bradley), Maren Raymond (Louisville, KY / Ballard), and Grace Kennedy (Dublin, OH / Coffman) all contributed goals to the offensive surge.
Wittenberg came out with intensity, racking up five goals in the first period and seven more in the second to take a commanding 12-3 lead at halftime. The Tigers showed no signs of letting up, adding five more in the third and sealing the dominant performance with three additional goals in the final period, finishing with a commanding 20-6 victory. With only nine turnovers compared to Spalding's 18, Wittenberg controlled the game from start to finish. Averaging over 13 goals per game, the Tigers have now found the back of the net 105 times this season, showcasing their offensive power.

- Makenna Ricketts (Chardon, OH / Chardon), Gabrielle Weckerly (Delaware, OH / Hayes) and Sidney Sheridan (Columbus, OH / Bishop Hartley) shared time in the goal, collecting ten saves on the day.
