Women's Lacrosse Defeats Southwestern University 13-11 in Texas

• The Tigers got off to a hot start against SWU, taking an early 3-0 lead in the first two minutes of action.
• The trio of early goals was capped off by a Gabrielle Zysik goal off of a pass from Joseph.
• Leading 4-1 nearly halfway through the opening period, SWU came roaring back against the Tigers, tying the game up at 6-6 with less than two minutes remaining in the first half.
• With four seconds remaining in the period, SWU took a 7-6 lead into the break.
• The Tigers trailed 9-11 with 10:47 remaining in regulation, before Joseph recorded an unassisted goal.
• This goal was followed by Joseph dishing a pass to Wadds for a goal that tied the game up at 11-11 with 7:22 remaining.
• Wittenberg stood tall defensively, scoring the last four goals of the game, and holding SWU scoreless for 10:47.
