Bio
Trendale Perkins enters his first year as an assistant coach with the Wittenberg University Women’s Basketball program for the 2021-2022 season.
Perkins served the Sinclair Women’s Basketball program for seven seasons with the last three being the head coach. In his first season as head coach he lead the program to an, 2018-2019 OCCAC conference championship. The team also qualified for the 2018-2019 Division II NJCAA National Tournament and finished the season ranked the #6 team in the country. Perkins mentored and helped develop 2x NJCAA All American Amanda Schroeder. In his two seasons as Sinclair’s Head Coach the team compiled a 44-21 overall record.
Perkins, a native Dayton, Ohio graduated from Patterson Career Center. He was a three-year varsity football and basketball player while attending Patterson and helped lead the team to the sectional and district finals in both his sophomore and senior years. He earned All-City, All-Area, and All Southwest District honors as he helped lead the team in rebounds. Perkins was a four-year collegiate football player at Division I MAC School, Ohio University. He started outside linebacker for two years and played an integral part on the 2000 Bobcat team, which was ranked as a Top 30 defensive unit in the country.
Perkins earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Health Services Administration with a Business Administration minor from Ohio University in 2002. Perkins and his wife, Dianne, have three children, Jazmon, Myles and Trinity
