Tigers Wrap Up Holiday Classic With Big Win Over Webster
SPRINGFIELD, OH – In the final matchup of the 2025 Wittenberg Women's Basketball Holiday Classic, the host Tigers earned a dominant 70-44 victory over Webster in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
Wittenberg got off to a hot start as Karsen Karlblom (Crystal Lake, IL / Prairie Ridge) scored 16 of the Tigers' 28 first-quarter points while knocking down four three-pointers. Madi Barnett (Cincinnati, OH / Kings) was a key contributor to Wittenberg's early offensive success as well, recording six assists in the opening quarter.
In the second quarter, Wittenberg's defense took control, holding Webster to just five points. Barnett recorded a steal, Nyla Richardson (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) added a block, and multiple Tigers crashed the glass for defensive rebounds as the Gorlocks struggled on the offensive end.
Wittenberg picked up right where it left off in the third quarter, opening the half with strong defensive possessions and efficient scoring to continue building its lead. Barnett sparked the offense early with multiple finishes at the rim, while Karlblom knocked down a three midway through the quarter to push the Tigers' advantage to 50–24. A late three from Barnett capped the quarter and sent Wittenberg into the fourth with a commanding 59–29 lead.
In the fourth quarter, Wittenberg continued to control the pace with contributions from multiple players on both ends of the floor. The Tigers maintained their defensive intensity, collecting rebounds and forcing tough shots, while continuing to capitalize offensively as the lead grew to as many as 30 points.

- Karlblom finished with a season-high 26 points and nine rebounds.
- Barnett added 12 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.
