SPRINGFIELD, OH — Thirteen Wittenberg student-athletes earned NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region honors in men's and women's indoor track and field from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced on Wednesday, March 11.
The top eight individuals in each event from each region on the year-end TFRRS Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams. Eleven Wittenberg men's indoor track and field student-athletes and two women's indoor track and field student-athletes were honored with all-region accolades.
Leading the way again in 2026 are two of the best sprinters in Wittenberg Men's Track & Field history. Graduate student Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH/Springfield) posted the fastest time in the region in the 400-meter dash for the 2025-26 indoor campaign with a school-record time of 47.07 at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Indoor Championships. That time was a mere .01 ahead of sophomore Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls), who ranked second in the event in the region. It was the second straight year that Elliott and Kittle earned all-region honors in the 400, and those times rank third and fourth, respectively, in all of NCAA Division III heading into the national championship meet March 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Elliott claimed NCAC Men's Indoor Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Year honors after earning All-NCAC awards in three events at the championship meet February 27-28. Kittle earned All-NCAC in the same three events, the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, and the 4x400-meter relay a year after he earned Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at both the indoor and outdoor championships en route to an All-American finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 200 meters. Sophomore Dashawn Seye (Centerville, OH / Centerville) and senior Mason Duncan (Cardington, OH / Highland) joined Kittle and Elliott on the 4x400-meter relay that earned all-region honors.
The 4x400-meter relay ranked third in the Great Lakes Region. In addition, Kittle earned all-region in the 200 with a time of 21.65 recorded in the prelims at the NCAC Championships on February 27.
Elliott and Kittle will be joined at the NCAA Indoor Championships by sophomore Kory Davis (Brookville, OH / Brookville), who will compete in the 60-meter hurdles after earning all-region in the event with a school-record time of 8.09 recorded at the Polar Bear Final Qualifier on March 6. Davis heads into the national championship meet ranked 13th nationally and second in the region. Senior Riley Payne (Hamilton, OH / Trenton Edgewood) also earned all-region honors in the 60-meter hurdles after also picking up the award in 2025. Payne ranked seventh in the event regionally with a time of 8.27.
Junior Lukas Rieben (Clayton, OH / Northmont) earned all-region in a pair of events as he ranked fourth in the 3000 meters in a time of 8:30.13 recorded at the Steemer Showcase on January 31 and fifth in the 5000 meters in a time of 14:47.93 at the Heartland Invitational on February 13.
Rounding things out on the men's side, all-region awards went to junior Nicolas Farfoglia (Manchester, MD / Manchester Valley) in the heptathlon after ranking second with a mark of 4247 points at the NCAC Combined Championships on February 21, junior Neal Godfrey (Columbus, OH / St. Francis DeSales) in the long jump after ranking sixth with a mark of 7.08 meters achieved at the Marshall Invitational on February 6, freshman Matthew Keaton (Westerville, OH / North) in the pole vault after ranking seventh with a mark of 4.65 meters achieved at the Ashland Invitational on January 24, and freshman Antonio Weaver (Columbus, OH / Independence) in the long jump after ranking eighth with a mark of 7.04 meters that won the event at the NCAC Championships on February 27.
Two Wittenberg women's indoor track and field student-athletes were honored. Freshman Kerrington Harper (Mason, OH / Mason) ranked in the top 20 in the region in three different field events after earning both NCAC Newcomer of the Year and Indoor Field Events Athlete of the Year at the NCAC Indoor Championships on February 28. She earned all-region honors for her mark of 1.62 meters in the high jump that took first place at the league championships.
Harper was joined on the all-region list by fellow freshman Rebekah Case (Mansfield, OH / Lucas), who cleared a height of 3.65 meters at the Marshall Invitational on February 6. That mark was good for fourth in the final NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region rankings for the event.
