Six Tigers Named All-Academic Athletes by USTFCCCA
NEW ORLEANS, LA - On Monday, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2025 All-Academic Track and Field Athletes and Teams. Six Tigers earned individual All-Academic honors while the women’s team earned All-Academic team honors.
Five of the individuals to be honored are from the women’s team. They are seniors Meghan Frazier (Alliance, OH / Alliance), Lindsey Magoteaux (Sidney, OH / Lehman Catholic), Zora Shakhan (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington Central), Taylor Weiss (Powell, OH / Olentangy Liberty) and freshman Izzy Henderson (East Liberty, OH / Benjamin Logan). The sole athlete from the men’s team is senior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH / Springfield).
To earn All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA as an individual, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and finish among the top 50 individuals on the descending order list on TFRRS or have competed in national championships.
Wittenberg women’s team earned All-Academic Team recognition, after compiling a cumulative GPA of 3.46 for the 2024-25 school year. To earn the recognition, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher by all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility.
The 2024-25 season was another outstanding one for Wittenberg Track & Field, highlighted by strong finishes in both the indoor and outdoor North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship events. The men's team placed first in the indoor championships and third in the outdoor competition, while the women were second in both the indoor and outdoor championships. More than a dozen athletes on each team claimed postseason awards, including all-conference, all-region, and All-America honors for Frazier and freshman Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls).
