Men’s Indoor Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week – Cameron Elliott, Wittenberg
Wittenberg senior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH/Springfield) delivered a record-breaking performance at the Ashland Invitational on Saturday, setting two program records. Elliott finished second in the 300-meter dash with a time of 35.04 seconds, surpassing the previous mark of 35.33 seconds set by Jason Love during the 1996-97 season. The senior also teamed up with a trio of first-years, including Brandon Anderson (Dexter, MI/Dexter), Bryson Hall (Franklin, OH/Franklin) and Jack Kittle (Chargin Falls, OH/Chargin Falls) to break the program record in the 4x400-meter relay. The team placed fourth with a time of 3:18.62, eclipsing the 3:21.41 record from 2013. The relay squad now leads the NCAC standings and ranks eighth nationally.
