Six Tigers Earn Outdoor Track & Field All-Great Lakes Region Honors

SPRINGFIELD, OH — Six Wittenberg student-athletes earned NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region honors in men's and women's outdoor track and field from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced on Wednesday, May 21.
The top five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end TFRRS Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top three relay teams.
Four Wittenberg men's track and field student-athletes were honored with outdoor all-region accolades, with three of the individuals doubling up from the indoor all-region announcement in March.
Freshman Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls) finished the season ranked second in the region and 14th nationally in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.10 recorded at the Otterbein Invitational, and he also ranked third in the region and 14th in the nation in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.11 recorded at Augustana's Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier. Senior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH/Springfield) ranked fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.41 recorded at the Emory Spring Break Classic. Kittle and Elliott both earned indoor all-region honors in the 400-meter dash as well.
In addition, senior Conor Kolka (Dexter, MI / Dexter) rounded out his phenomenal collegiate career with outdoor all-region honors in the 10,000 meters with a time of 30.14 at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite, and senior Justin Norris (Middletown, OH/Middletown Christian) earned all-region in the high jump with a mark of 2.02 meters at the Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier. Norris also earned indoor all-region honors in the high jump.
Two Wittenberg women's track and field student-athletes were honored with outdoor all-region accolades, with both of those individuals doubling up from the indoor all-region announcement in March.
Freshman Izzy Henderson (East Liberty, OH / Benjamin Logan) ranked fifth in the Great Lakes Region to earn all-region honors in the long jump with a mark of 5.66 meters recorded at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships. She previously earned indoor all-region honors in both the pentathlon and the long jump. Senior Meghan Frazier (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) earned all-region status in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.02 recorded at the NCAC Championships. She earned indoor all-region honors in the 400-meter dash.
