Nine Tigers Earn 2025 All-NCAC Indoor Track & Field Awards

CLEVELAND, OH - Nine student-athletes representing Wittenberg Men’s Track and Field earned 2025 Indoor All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors as a result of their performances during the championship meet at Oberlin College February 28-March 1. The outstanding individual performances powered Wittenberg to a second consecutive NCAC Indoor title.
Leading the way for the Tigers was freshman Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls), who earned a pair of special awards. Kittle racked up NCAC Men's Indoor Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Year and NCAC Men’s Indoor Newcomer of the Year honors after he placed second in the 200 meters and first in the 400 meters, and he ran the anchor leg of the 4x400-meter relay that also took first place. Kittle's times in the prelims of both the 200 and 400 broke NCAC records.
In addition, Wittenberg's coaches were recognized for their outstanding work as the 2025 NCAC Indoor Track and Field Men’s Coaching Staff of the Year.
Wittenberg's All-NCAC performers in the 2025 NCAC Indoor Championships:
- Senior Bryce Ray (Sun City, FL / Sumner) earned second place in the long jump with a distance of 22'11.25";
- Senior Justin Norris (Middletown, OH / Middletown Christian) earned first place in the high jump with a height of 6'07.50";
- Junior Gage Dyke (Frankfort, OH / Zane Trace) earned third place in the pole vault with a height of 13’09.25";
- Sophomore Max Martindale (Mason, OH / Lakota West) achieved a second-place finish in the shot put with a distance of 52’05.50”;
- Freshman Elijah Simmons (Jacksonville, FL / Groveport) finished in second place in the 60 meters with a time of 6.96;
- Junior Riley Payne (Hamilton, OH / Trenton Edgewood) placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.22, which broke the school record;
- Kittle placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 22.23 and first in the 400 meters with a time of 49.43;
- Senior Cameron Elliot (Springfield, OH / Springfield) finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 49.86;
- Senior Conor Kolka (Dexter, MI / Dexter) finished third in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:31.15 and second in the 5000 meters with a time of 14:37.40.
Finally, Wittenberg won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:24.81. Earning All-NCAC in the relay were freshman DaShawn Seye (Centerville, OH / Centerville), Elliot, sophomore Owen Bier (Elyria, OH / Midview), and Kittle.
