Witt Falls to Otterbein, 6-1
DAYTON, OH – Wittenberg's Men's Tennis fell to Otterbein, 6-1, on Sunday, March 2, at Five Seasons Family Racquet Club in Dayton.
As host team, Wittenberg was able to register a win at first doubles but couldn't collect the doubles point as a team must win two of the three matches to earn the point. The team of Ethan Libby (Loveland, OH / Loveland) and Jacob Bennett (Pickerington, OH / Pickerington Central) dominated at first doubles tallying a 6-1 victory.
On the singles side, Libby won the battle at No. 1 singles posting a 6-3, 3-6, and 1-0 (10-6) win. Justin Hardie (Centerville, OH / Centerville) took it to three sets but fell 6-2, 2-6, and 2-6 at No. 4 singles, and Benjamin Glassman (Woodbridge, CT / Amity Regional) put up a tough fight at No. 6 singles falling 1-6, 6-7.

Witt drops to 0-4 on the season, while Otterbein improves to 5-4 overall. Next up, the Tigers will take on the #4 ranked Case Western Reserve and Piedmont at Lake Cane in Orlando, Florida, during their spring break trip on Sunday, March 9, at 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.
