SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - A match added to the schedule a day earlier was a good pick-me-up for the Wittenberg men's tennis team, which tuned up for the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament April 25-27 with a 9-0 win over visiting Central State.
The Tigers did not drop a game in singles play in improving to 4-9 overall. In doubles play, Wittenberg allowed just three games in the three matches.
Double-winners for Wittenberg were junior Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, freshmanRobert Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles, sophomore Rob Lehner (Gahanna, Ohio/DeSales) at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles, sophomore Craig Lods (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles and freshman Andy Lamb (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton) at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Rounding things out, junior Dan McNeeley (Beavercreek, Ohio/Xenia Christian)was a winner at No. 5 singles and sophomore Greg Harvey (Urbana, Ohio/Urbana) teamed with lamb at No. 3 doubles.
