Tiger Swimming & Diving Seeks Continued Improvement Under New Leadership in 2025-26
Under new leadership entering the 2025-26 season, Wittenberg Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving heads into a busy schedule with plenty of optimism.
Wittenberg's men posted a dual meet record of 4-5 a year ago, a two-win improvement from the 2023-24 season, while the Tiger women finished unbeaten in duals at 9-0 for the first time in program history. The teams went on to finish ninth and sixth, respectively, in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships, with the women scoring 720.5 points, the most for either program since 2016.
Coming off a season that numerous personal-best times and swims that regularly placed among the best in school history, the Tigers have new energy on deck with Head Coach Gabe Rastatter and his new assistants, Trevor Keriazes and Mandy Eby.
Wittenberg's men return eight letterwinners, with a pair of seniors leading the way in Owen Gabel (New Bremen, OH / New Bremen) and Mason Steen (Leroy, OH / Riverside). On the women's side, the Tigers have 12 returning letterwinners, led by seniors McKenna Clark (Waynesville, OH / Carroll) and Shania Stone (Cincinnati, OH / Princeton).
Wittenberg opens the 2025-26 campaign with a road trip to Hiram at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, which kicks off a busy first half to the season. The home opener for the Tigers takes place at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, against Manchester, followed by a meet against NCAC rival Ohio Wesleyan at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15. Other dates of note include the three-day Wooster Invitational that starts Dec. 4, Senior Recognition Day meet against Hanover at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, and the NCAC Championships Feb. 11-14 at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
