2005 NCAC Championships Day 1 Report
At the conclusion of the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships the Tigers are holding strong on both the men's and women's side in fourth place with 170 points and 201 points respectively.

At the conclusion of the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships the Tigers are holding strong on both the men's and women's side in fourth place with 170 points and 201 points respectively.Click here to read NCAC release.
The night was highlighted by a fourth place finish in the 500-yard freestyle by Becca Searcy (Shelbyville, Ky./Shelby County) that earned her a NCAA B-cut (5:08.30). For the men, Ryan Schram (Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon) lead the way with a 10th place finish in the 500 freestyle (4:49.06).
Other notable swims for the men included a 12th place finish by Sean Wolf (White Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Central) in the 50 freestyle (22.28) and a 13th place finish by Matt Reiss (Beavercreek, Ohio/Dayton Carroll) in the 500 freestyle (4:54.90).
For the women, Lindsay Smith (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) took 10th place (25.26) in the 50 freestyle, whileKaitlyn Clark (Wakeman, Ohio/Firelands) finished 15th in the 200 IM (2:16.75 ).
Preliminary competition will comtinue tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio.
