Ted Emery became a full-time assistant coach for Wittenberg Men's Lacrosse in August 2025, bringing with him more than 20 years of playing and coaching experience in the sport.
A Columbus, Ohio native, Emery was a two-sport athlete at The Wellington School, earning Senior Athlete of the Year honors before moving on to Regis University in Denver. At Regis, Emery became the program’s all-time leading point scorer, a three-time all-conference selection, and a three-time team captain, while also serving in multiple leadership roles.
After earning his degree in business marketing, Emery began his coaching career at Regis, serving as both assistant and head coach, while also leading youth and club programs in Colorado and California. He later held head and assistant coaching positions at Viewpoint School, Ronin Lacrosse Club, and Valencia High School before founding Nomads Lacrosse Club in Los Angeles.
Since 2020, Emery has been a member of the coaching staff at Wittenberg University, working with the men’s lacrosse program and also serving as director of football operations and director of social media for the Department of Athletics. He earned his Master of Arts in Athletic Coaching from Wittenberg in 2022, continuing a family legacy as a fifth-generation Tiger. He currently resides in Columbus with his dog, Dobson, and coaches with True Lacrosse Club during the summers.
Emery’s coaching philosophy centers on lacrosse as the most dynamic sport, blending creativity, toughness, intelligence, and athleticism. He emphasizes teaching life lessons through competition while honoring the Creator’s vision of the game as both medicine and joy.
