Tiger Golf Team Places Among Top Finishers at Denison
Granville, OH - The Wittenberg Tigers traveled to the Denison Golf Club on Sunday to compete in the one-day, two-round Denison Spring Shootout and finished second in a 16-team field that included many top regional competitors.

The Tigers were able to take second place at 17-over-par with a first round of eight-over and a second round of nine-over. In third was the host team, Denison, with a first round shooting 22-over and were only 10-over in the second round to finish well behind the top two teams with a final score of 32 over par.
The top individual finisher for the Tigers was Alex Rath (Dublin, OH / Scioto) as he shot an even-par 71 in both rounds to finish at even par for second place overall. Griffin Turner (Enon, OH / Greenon) was the seventh overall finisher with a first round 74 to be three over par and was only one over par in the second round to finish four over par at the end of the day. In 13th was Mark Sulek (Delaware, OH / Hayes), after he carded a three over par 74 in the first round and then carded a 75 in the second round to finish at 7 over par on the day. Mikey Schutte (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) and Charlie Parker (Swanbourne, Australia / Scotch College) tied for 17th, as they both finished at eight over par. Schutte was only two over par in the first round, shooting a 73, but in the second round, he shot six over par. Parker was consistent over the two rounds as he finished with a four over par 75 in each round.
