Tigers Finish Third at Kuhn Invitational
Meadville, PA - Wittenberg's Men's Golf traveled to the Keystone State to compete in the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invatitional hosted by Allegheny College. The Tigers' B Team finished third out of 13 teams with a total of 592 to be 16-over-par. Taking first place was Carnegie Mellon's B Team at 578 (+6), followed by the host team, Allegheny, with a total of 589 (+14).
The top finishers for Wittenberg were Bradley Hinkel (Springboro, OH / Springboro) and David Walterhouse (Statham, GA / Bethlehem Christian Academy) with a total of 145 (+1) to finish in a tie for fourth place. Hinkel started with a first round 71 (-1) and ended with a second round 74 (+2). Walterhouse did the opposite, shooting a first round 74 (+2) and improved to a 71 (-1) in the second round. The third finisher for the Tigers was Owen Williams (Plymouth, MI / Detroit Catholic Central), who finished tied for 12th after carding a first-round 76 (+4) and second-round 74 (+2) for a total of 150 (+6). Finishing next for the Tigers and tied for 19th overall was Caleb Domitrovich (McDonald, OH / McDonald) with a total of 152 (+8) by shooting a first round 79 (+7) and a second round 73 (+1). The final finisher for Wittenberg was freshman Zac Thompson (Springfield, OH / Catholic Central). He finished tied for 27th with a first round 79 (+7) and a second round 76 (+4) for a total of 155 (+11).
The Tigers will be back on the course on October 12th as they travel to Raven Golf Club in Miramar Beach, Florida, to compete in the GolfWeek October Classic.
