The course was particularly good to junior Isaac Hartley, who won his first tournament as a Tiger over the weekend. Hartley fired back to back rounds of 71 to finish even on the weekend, and one stroke ahead of Christopher Dunne who came in second place.

Wittenberg junior Colin Laszlo finished in a tie for third out of 88 golfers to help lead the 16th-ranked Tigers to the come-from-behind team victory early last week at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 6,979-yard Black Course at Wynlakes C.C. in Montgomery, Alabama.

Wittenberg men’s golf overcame a six-stroke deficit to win the Wynlakes Intercollegiate on Tuesday, as the Tigers trailed Emory and Huntingdon College going into round two.

Monday’s first round stands as the only carded round of the event, leaving Wittenberg with an eighth-place finish on the women’s side, and a tenth-place finish for the men.
