Three Tigers Named to 2025 NABC Honors Court
KANSAS CITY, MO — Wittenberg men's basketball standouts Cal Bavineau (Dexter, MI / Dexter), Cameron Harrison (Eaton, OH / National Trail), and Dawson Scott (New Castle, IN / New Castle) have been named to the Honors Court for the 2024-25 season by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior, and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the school year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. The NABC’s academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball. This year, more than 2,400 student-athletes earned spots on the NABC Honors Court.
A junior guard majoring in finance with a 3.67 grade point average, Bavineau appeared in 17 games over his first two collegiate seasons before stepping into the rotation in 2024-25. He averaged 17.4 minutes per game while starting 15 games in the 2024-25 season, and Bavineau averaged 2.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
A senior guard majoring in education with a 3.71 grade point average, Harrison ranked second on the team and ninth in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) in scoring at 13.0 points per game. The 2024-25 season was Harrison's second as a full-time starter for the Tigers, and he increased his production across every statistical category, most impressively as a three-point shooter. Harison led the NCAC by a wide margin with 77 three-pointers on the season, and he ranked second in the conference in three-point shooting percentage at .453 (77-of-170). His stellar play earned Harrison third-team All-NCAC honors following the season.
A junior forward majoring in business management with a 3.94 GPA, Scott made 24 starts in 25 games during the 2024-25 season after appearing in all 27 games a year ago off the bench. He averaged career-highs in scoring (5.60 points per game) and rebounding 5.44 rebounds per game).
The Tigers men's basketball team finished the 2024-25 season in a three-way tie for sixth place in the NCAC regular season standings with a 5-11 record. The Tigers posted an overall record of 9-16.
