Granville, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Basketball team dropped a heartbreaking contest in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinal, falling to the Big Red from Denison University, 65-63. The Tigers battled back through the first half to take a 39-36 lead into the break. Wittenberg was led by Trey Killens, putting up 17 points, knocking down 7 of 15 from the floor and dishing out five assists. As a team, Wittenberg converted on 25 of 48 attempts from the floor on the night.
Jeff Queen added 11 points as the second Tiger to put up double digits. Queen finished 4 of 8 from the floor, grabbing a team-high six rebounds.
Levi Boettcher tallied nine points in his final game in a Wittenberg uniform, knocking down 3 of 7 from the floor and 3 of 6 from deep range. Brice Hill closed out his final NCAC Tournament run with seven points. Boettcher grabbed four rebounds with three assists. Hill added one rebound and one steal.
