Former Wittenberg head men's basketball coach Larry Hunter passed away peacefully this morning around 11:00 am at WakeMed Cary Hospital, in Cary North Carolina. Hunter, 68, had been in the hospital after suffering a massive stroke.
Tim Kremchek, ‘81 (and his wife, Hilary, ‘82) have issued a challenge to the Wittenberg Athletic Department. If we can get 220 donors and raise alumni participation by 1%, by April 25, they will give a gift of $25,000 to the athletic department.
Wittenberg senior post player Chad Roy was named to D3hoops.com’s All-America team as a member of the 2018 Fourth Team. The Toledo, Ohio native becomes Wittenberg’s 28th All-American in program history.

The Tigers dismantled Misericordia 91-61 to move to 16-0 on their home floor in 2017-18, and on to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Wittenberg will play Misericordia University on March 2 at 7:30 P.M. at Pam Evans Smith Arena
After winning the regular season title, the Tigers ran through the NCAC Tournament with a 82-70 win over OWU in the 2018 Championship Game.
