Tigers Even Record With 3-1 Win Over Oberlin
Outstanding weekend ends with second straight come-from-behind NCAC win on home turf, this time over the Yeowomen.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers opened the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) portion of their 2013 schedule in the best way possible by sweeping Wooster and Oberlin, both with second-half comebacks.
A little more than 24 hours after rallying for a 4-2 victory over arch-rival Wooster, the Tigers built on that momentum with a 3-1 victory over the Yeowomen. Wittenberg trailed 1-0 at halftime before answering with three goals in less than 10 minutes early in the second half.
The win evened Wittenberg's overall record at 3-3, including a 2-0 mark in the NCAC. Oberlin fell to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the league.
The Yeowomen held a 10-7 advantage in shots in the first half, with Ariana Enzerink scoring the lone goal of the opening 35 minutes at the 24:32 mark. But the second half was dominated by Wittenberg as the Tigers outshot their visitors 10-2.
Sophomore Paige Vanerstrom (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) started the scoring for Wittenberg with an unassisted goal in the 40th minute. Junior Megan Loofbourrow (Prospect, Ky./Ballard) scored the game-winner just one minute later off a feed from freshman Eva van Dijkman (Den Haag, Netherlands/Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet). Sophomore Andrea Mattingly (Louisville, Ky./Mercy Academy) capped the scoring with a goal at the 48:42 mark, with junior Kim Loofbourrow (Prospect, Ky./Ballard) getting credit for the assist.
In goal, Wittenberg picked up eight saves - all in the first half - from freshman Laura Jansing (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame). Also of note, the Tigers held a commanding 18-9 advantage in penalty corners.
