Twelve Tigers named to 2024-25 MCVL All-Academic Team
SPRINGFIELD, OH — Twelve Wittenberg student-athletes were named to the 2024-25 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League All-Academic Team, the league announced on Monday, June 23.
Senior Aaron Miller (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West), juniors Jake Downs (Cincinnati, Ohio/Milford), Matthew Gerardi (New Carlisle, Ohio/Tecumseh), Eli Halverson (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin), Trajan Kress (Cincinnati, OH / Sycamore), Sam Richardson (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit), and Michael Yurk (Indianapolis, IN / Bishop Chatard), along with freshmen Adam Blair (West Chester, OH / Lakota West), Aidan Cunningham (Sandy Spring, MD / Sherwood), Ian Dawson (Columbus, OH / Worthington Kilbourne), Carson Hill (Liberty Township, OH / Lakota East), and Zach Newton (Morgantown, WV / Franklin Community) all received accolades.
The MCVL All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who earned a varsity letter and had a 3.3 GPA or above. A total of 94 student-athletes representing all nine MCVL institutions earned All-Academic status this year.
Wittenberg's 12 honorees tied Wabash for third in the conference behind Trine’s 14 and Baldwin Wallace’s 13.
