Catherine Earl joined the Wittenberg track and field coaching staff in 2015.
A native of Cincinnati, Earl competed for Mason High School and later for the University of Cincinnati. After placing third in the state championship meet in the shot put in 2007, Earl was a member of the track and field program at UC for four years.
Earl qualified for the Big East championship meet in shot put, hammer throw and the weight throw in each of her four seasons at UC, and she served as a team captain as a senior in 2011. During her senior year, Earl also served as an assistant coach at Mason High School.
After earning her bachelor's degree in health sciences, Earl attended the University of Toledo and earned her master's degree in physician's assistant studies. She now works in Springfield as a family medicine physician's assistant.
