Hiram, Ohio – The Wittenberg University men's soccer team closed out the 2017 season with an exciting 5-4 double-overtime win over the Terriers of Hiram College. The duo of Jacob Snowden and River Banks synced up less than five minutes into play, putting the Tigers on the board first. The second Wittenberg goal would come about six minutes later, as Banks found the back of the Hiram net on the Snowden assist.
- Snowden would tally his second goal of the game in the 88th minute coming off the Michael Cohen assist to knot the game up at 4-4.
- Alberto Zaragoza would come up big in the second OT, placing his 25yd free kick past the Hiram keeper to end the game in the 103rd minute.
- Wittenberg trailed the Terriers on shots through the match 20-13, though each team came up with nine shots on target.
