Tony Tatro is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Wittenberg University men's lacrosse team.
Tatro comes to Wittenberg after serving the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland, Ohio.
At BW, Tatro worked extensively with the defense and goalkeepers, helping the team to consecutive seasons as the top scoring defense in NCAA DIII, while collecting an overall record of 26-6 and the team's first Co-OAC Regular season title in 2016.
Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, Tatro was the Head Coach at Walsh Jesuit High School in Akron, Ohio from 2010-2014, where he led the team to an overall record of 33-39 and divisional record of 31-22. In 2014 he was named North Coast League "Coach of the Year."
Tatro played 2 years of collegiate lacrosse as a goalkeeper at Wheeling Jesuit University from 2007-2009. In his two seasons, he recorded a save percentage of .66.
In 2013, Tatro graduated from Kent State University with a major in Applied Communications and a minor in Sports Administration.
