Joey Schulte
Title: Catching Coach

Joey Schulte is in his first season with the Wittenberg Tigers. Coach Schulte will be in charge of coaching catchers while also assisting with the development of the hitters. On game days, Coach Schulte’s main responsibility will be the bullpen coach while also assisting with game management. 

Coach Schulte graduated from Wilmington High school in 2009. He was second-team All Fort Ancient Valley Conference his junior year as a catcher and, first team honoree his senior year. Coach Schulte hit .460 with an on base percentage of .660. He was an honorable mention all Cincinnati.

Coach Schulte played his first year of college baseball at Ave Maria University where he hit .320 as a freshman. He then transferred to Georgetown College. After a career ending head injury, Coach Schulte graduated with a degree in political science in 2014.

Coach Schulte has coached in the Cincinnati Bulldogs organization since 2012, and is currently the head coach of the 17u team who competes in some of the top tournaments nationwide.  He is currently enrolled at the University of Dayton where he is working towards his Masters in Business Administration.

Coach Schulte currently resides in Kettering, OH with his wife Kelly.
