Wittenberg University, as a walking campus, has a limited parking capacity. Parking on campus property is subject to all regulations of the Wittenberg Police & Security Department.

Under normal circumstances, a hanging tag is required to park anywhere on campus property. Tags are issued by Police & Security to registered vehicles and visitors at the Police & Security window at the Recitation Hall Annex. During athletic events this restriction is relaxed, though all posted restrictions and signs are still in effect. There is no paid parking anywhere on campus or at any athletic facility.

Parking behind the HPER Center itself is restricted at all times to faculty, staff, media and visiting team vehicles.

For information on parking at specific athletic facilities, please refer to the listings below, found under "Venues".

Faculty/Staff Parking
Many parking areas throughout campus are designated as Faculty/Staff parking, and these spaces are reserved from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, for Wittenberg faculty and staff members. These spots are open to the public after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all day on the weekends.

Designated Visitor Parking
Designated visitor parking is available at the Benham-Pence Student Center and on West Campus Drive in front of Recitation Hall. A faculty/staff lot behind Recitation Hall is available after 6 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.

Street Parking
Street parking is available both on campus and in the immediately surrounding areas on a first-come, first-serve basis, and is open to the public at all times. Streets with parking available include: Bill Edwards Drive, North Lowry Avenue, Plum Street, East and West Campus Drives, North Fountain Avenue, and West McCreight Ave.

Overflow Parking & Tailgating
For events with large anticipated crowds, such as football and basketball games, the Mercy Hospital south lot is available. The lot is located across West McCreight Avenue from Edwards-Maurer Field and is a designated tailgating area for football games. A crosswalk is located at West McCreight and North Fountain Avenue, and is a short stroll from the north gate at the stadium. Tailgating is also permitted in the Tower Hall lot.

Media/Team Parking
Parking behind the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Center is restricted to faculty, staff, media and visiting team vehicles at all times. Several spots are reserved for Excel Sports Medicine patients from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Members of the media may contact Director of News Services & Sports Information Ryan Maurer at 937-327-6114 to reserve access to this area.
